Remember my post on my makeup collection? Ever since I wrote that, I've been thinking of better ways to storing my makeup.
Since I don't have a train case, and I'm a little tired of storing my precious items in cosmetic bags which I have to pry open everytime I need to use something, I've decided to find a cheap alternative to storing my makeup.
I found a set of 5 plastic drawers (AUD7) in order to make some of my regularly-used makeup more accessible.
As for the rest, I found these clear plastic containers at IKEA for about 4 bucks each. Cleared my top drawer to make room for my beauty products. Voila!
I love being able to just open my drawers and look at all my makeup :p It's a great and cheap way to separate your makeup into different compartments, making it very accessible. And if you don't have that much space, these containers are easily stackable too.
So there ya go, a great way to storing your makeup.

yeah! I'm using the drawers and Ikea thingys too. Cept that those sold in Ikea here has a lid to close it and the partitions can be changed according to how big we want them
mine is in train cases, one big and one small. I also have the plastic case you bought! and I have a cabinet for my "spare" or "stored" hauls! I love stocking up! Lol i love the way you organize your make up and it looks so neat!
This isn't for me~ I don't make up. Sorry, but would helpful for the gals.. lol.. :)

Jessie, I have that IKEA container that you're using. It used to be practical but my makeup got too much. Now it's used to store products that I seldom use.
Um, so I have that. I have those drawers also with things that I seldom use. I have a shoe box for my face stuff. A wicker basket/bag for my eyeshadows. A cosmetic case for my more frequently used mascaras and eyeliners. Another travel cosmetic case that I keep my daily essentials. A container for my mineral makeup, another for my daily skin care. A rice brush holder. The rest of my frequently used items are spread out across my table.... I'm ridiculously messy. lol. I think it's time to clean. I managed to find quite a cheap traincase. I'm getting one soon.

I know what you mean. I store my stuffs the way you do too and when I open to look at them, I would have this sense of satisfaction. Hahah

This actually depends on space. I have enough space on my top drawer, so I decided to store it like that :)

All my make up stuff are in a small cosmetic bag because I didn't make up everyday. I was really curious how much time do you decide on which one to put on everyday since there are sooo many choice of each category :)

It's a personal preference really. The makeup items which I use regularly are mineral foundation and blush. I prefer a particular blush to another, so I'd use that regularly. My favourite lippies are in the plastic drawers for easy access. As for the rest, I keep in my dresser drawer. As for eye colours, I don't have a usual one as I don't use them regularly. Depends on what I'd be wearing thad day. It's a matter of routine. It wouldn't take long before you too know what you'd be using regularly :)
Very well stored and kept. I used to have the drawers then things got out of hand ;) Still getting around to writing about how I store the rest of my stuff lol...
I will get pics soon. I can show you my table.... lol. But I think I'll wait til I get the traincase.
