When I ordered my second batch of Everyday Minerals samples, I was rather apprehensive of the blush I chose because when you order items like these online, you really have to rely on the colour swatches the website provided. The problem with the Everday Minerals website was that it does not display photographs of the actual product swatch, only conceptual pictures. It became a matter of "what-the-hell-lets-just-take-a-shot" when I selected Sunday Brunch. And I have to say, it was an excellent choice.

If you're looking for a good (and cheap; it's only USD8!) blush brush, I highly recommend the angled blush brush by Everyday Minerals.

When news and pictures of the new Benefit Posietint reached my ears, I was very excited in getting my hands on the lip and cheek stain. I am quite a fan of the Benetint, so when I found out that the Posietint was going to be pink, I knew I had to get it.
Description:
The Posietint is of the same size as the Benetint. Its texture is creamy, compared to the watery Benetint. I was a bit apprehensive when I tried it out, looking at the bright bubblegum-pink liquid. I didn't want to end up looking like a doll (the not-in-a-good-way kind, y'know what I mean?). However, when I applied it on my cheeks, it gave me the prettiest pink flush I've ever seen on myself!
As a cheek stain, I absolutely love it. I don't normally wear pink blushes, but this one gave me a very natural and pretty flush on the cheeks. I'd normally layer the Posietint on my cheeks at least twice to achieve a natural blushed look. It didn't work for me as a lip stain though. The colour hardly showed on my lips. I'd be sticking to the Benetint for that one.
Given that it is a lip and cheek stain, it dries very quickly, so it would be best to quickly blend the liquid onto the skin after application.
An instruction sheet was included with the bottle of Posietint. It suggested that you brush three strokes on the apple of your cheek and then blend quickly with the fingertips. I do not recommend this. As the liquid dries pretty quickly, by the time you brush the cheek stain onto your face and close the bottle, the first stroke would have dried a little, and you'd be left with a hint of three brush strokes on the face (yeah, I made that mistake. Looked like pink war paint on my face. Eeek). Plus for fair-skinned ladies, it might be too pink for you.
I'd suggest that you brush a stroke onto your index finger, and blend onto the cheeks. Layer if you want it a little more pink on the cheeks. This will give you better control on the colour, plus it would blend better.
If you're not sure if the Posietint would work for you, let's put it this way. If you can wear the Dandelion, or any sort of pink blush, you can definitely wear the Posietint.
The Posietint does not have the strong rose scent that the Benetint has but there is a hint of fragrance nevertheless. It's not strong, which is good.
Benefit Posietint is currently not available in Australia nor Malaysia yet. I reckon it would cost the same as the Benetint (it's the same in the US). I bought this on the Benefit website for USD28. Again, it's highly recommended to buy your Benefit products on the website, because even after factoring in the shipping costs, it would still be cheaper than getting it in Australia or Malaysia.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm a-gonna go prettify myself with the pink stain :P

Benefit Georgia

I got the Georgia as a gift from my aunt in the US (well, I asked her to get it for me, in which I would reimburse her for, but she just asked me to keep it as a gift. Sweet!). Just like the Dandelion, I thought the packaging was really cute, and the description of the peach powder won me over.
The reason I wanted the Georgia was that I thought it was a peach blush, and I wanted one. Since Benefit wasn't available in Penang, and I wasn't in KL at that time to test the colour, I took a blind shot and asked my aunt to get it for me. My bad for not checking it out first, because in actual fact, it's not a blush, but a face powder *smacks forehead*.
No matter how much of the Georgia I applied on my cheeks, the colour would not show. In the end, I just used it as a face powder. It does smell peachy (pun intended) ;)
I swiped a bit more of the powder just to show you what it looks. I didn't show it on my face as you probably wouldn't tell the difference with or without Georgia on.
I think this would work well on those with very fair skin, to give you that glow when highlighting the cheeks. For me, not so much.
Benefit Dandelion

Ahhh ... the very popular Dandelion. Y'know, I've wanted this blush ever since I saw it in a magazine when I was a student in the UK six years ago. As I wasn't much into makeup then, I didn't think I could justify the heavy purchase. When I started working, I stumbled upon the Dandelion once again, and I did not hesitate buying it.
I have a bit of a lukewarm relationship with this blush. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. The blush is not very pigmented, thus it doesn't show on my cheeks unless I use a lot of it. That's the part which I do not like; I don't like too much gunk on my face. But when the blush does show, it gives my cheeks a very lovely pink glow. Now that, I like very much.
The photographs below are taken during the day, without flash, with Dandelion on bare skin.
The included brush works well in contouring the cheeks. I like using the Dandelion on my lazy days; little work, good results.
All in all, it's thumbs up for the Dandelion, and, err, middle thumbs (??) for Georgia.

I highly recommend buying Benefit products from the Benefit website as the prices including shipping and handling fees would still be lower than the prices in Malaysia and Australia. That was to the extent of it, because the colours just did not show on my face. As much of the pink I picked up with my brush, again, it did not show. I'm afraid I did not have any photos of the blush on my to show you. I didn't see the point, because all you'd see is my bare skin anyway.
Okay, so maybe I mistook it for a blush (since it's called an allover colour), so I brushed the powder on my face. Not a hint of difference. So now I'm stuck with a very pretty blush design but cannot be used. Gah!
Clinque's Fresh Bloom Allover Colour comes in 4 shades - Posy, Almond Blossom, Peony (that's the one I have) and Plum Poppy.
Perhaps I've gotten myself the wrong colour. Either way, I don't think I'm going to fork out that amount of money to find out. Sigh.
The Allover Colour (9g) is available online at USD29.50. In Australia, you can get this at any Clinique counter at AUD59. In the UK, this would cost 23 pounds. And in Malaysia, it's RM12x (can't really remember the exact figure).

It's the limited edition Blushing Daisies, which you can use on your cheeks, your face for an all-round glow, your eyes and even your décolletage. Both have a shimmering blush and two illuminating shades in a lovely daisy design.
I'm not sure if this is out in Malaysia yet, but I saw it on the US and Australian Body Shop website (so far, it isn't available in the UK yet. Weird eh, given that the Body Shop originated from the UK?). Now check out the prices of these for both countries. The Blushing Daisies is sold in the US website at USD19.50, but in the Australian website, it's going at AUD34.95 (approximately USD32.59 at the time of writing). That's about 61% markup in price. What gives?!
Anyways, I'm keeping this in view for now. I'll check it out at the Body Shop store to see if it is really worth that money. As pretty as the blush look with the daisies, I think I'd rather spend that money on NARS or something more high-end than The Body Shop.

I bought Stila's Rouge Pots Cheek Mousse (#05 Freesia) on a whim during the August sales at StrawberryNET. And might I say, I definitely did NOT regret it.
Description:
Maybelline's Dream Blush Mousse is similar to this, but I'd have to say that I like Stila's cheek mousse a lot better than Maybelline's. First of all, it's a lot drier; i.e. it doesn't feel wet at all on my cheeks. It dried instantly on my cheeks, and blended very well into my loose powder.
I'd admit I took a bit of a gamble when purchasing the cheek mousse online, as I didn't really know what Freesia was like. On the website, it looked a like an orange-brown, but when the mousse arrived, it was brown! My first thought was uh-oh, I bought the wrong colour. But when I tried it on, it gave me a very lovely bronzy glow (applied sparingly, of course). I'm now using it to work everyday :)
As with all cheek mousse, I'd recommend gently dabbing the colour (do not scrape) from the pot to the back of the hand, blend it a little, and then apply onto the cheeks. This way, you can control the amount of blush you apply on your cheeks, and to avoid looking like a doll.
Stila's Rouge Pots Cheek Mousse (#05 Freesia 4g/0.14oz) was purchased at StrawberryNET for RM35 (this price is available during the August sales. Normal price would probably be double the amount).

The next "mousse-on-face-not-on-hair" product which I'm going to review today is another product of Maybelline, which is the Dream Mousse Blush.

From first glance, it might seem a little too orange, but the effect's quite nice. One thing about the blush though; you have to apply quite a lot before the flush on your cheeks show. I do not mean to dig out a chunk and slather on your cheeks; gently apply layer upon layer till you're satisfied with the results.
As the mousse blush goes on my cheeks, which are drier than the T-zone, the blush did not cake, but gave me a rather nice dewy look on the cheeks. I'd recommend the foundation and the blush mousse, but hold the loose powder (unless it's just a very light sweep of the powder on the cheeks, T-zone and chin) for the dewy effect.
I have no complaints with the mousse blush, but as a personal preference, I reckon I'd stick to powder blushes as they're less messy and definitely less bulky.
